Well, it's been a week since my Kmart Double Coupon Shopping Disaster. After not getting a response from my original message, I turned to Kmart's Facebook page. Someone there, in turn, referred me to Kirk L., "Senior Corporate Case Manager for Sears & Kmart Executive Team."
Basically, he tried to distract from my real questions and concerns with a $10 gift card. (He offered $5, but emailed me a card for $10. I'm not arguing.) He didn't seem to understand that my question was about their coupon policy, so I kept pressing the issue. They have no answer for me as to whether or not Kmart accepts manufacturer coupons with other store logos.
Here are some excerpts from Kirk's emails:
Regarding your coupon question, I will do my best to locate a source. It might take me a while. I would just ask for your patience.

I also forwarded your coupon question to the store manager although I will look for other resources as well.
...
You're not bothering me, Ms. Barton, but if I was aware of whom to talk with I would have already done it. It's just going to take some research. Please accept my apologies that I don't have an ready answer or source. I don't know who else you might talk with.
So a week of trying to figure out their coupon policy and they don't even know who to talk to! Wow. Thoughts?
