Target Shopping, $4.14 + Pinterest Recipe

Target has Stove Top Stuffing on price cut for just $1.  Use the $1/2 coupon from the 12/9 SS to score it for just $.50 a box!

I got 8 boxes, used 4 coupons and paid just $4.14!  These should last me for the year until the next stock up time on stuffing!

Pictured above is my original "pin," courtesy of Best Life 4 Moms!  The recipe is for Cheesy Broccoli Chicken Foil Packs.  It's a super easy recipe (my favorite).  All you need to do is mix your stuffing mix with 1 1/4 cups water; then plop it on 4 separate pieces of foil.  Add a boneless chicken breast, a cup of broccoli, 1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese, bacon (optional), and a tablespoon of Ranch dress to each.  Loosely fold up the sides to seal and cook at 400 degrees for 35-40 minutes!

Above is my completed dinner!  It tasted great!

JCP: Now That's Customer Service!

Wow!  If you follow the Bargain Barton Facebook page, you may have read my post reaching out for help dealing with an issue I was having with JCPenney.  On Cyber Monday, I had placed a $40+ order for a pair of boots and snowpants for a family in need.  I got confirmation that the order should arrive in about 5-7 business days.  A week later, I logged into my account and there was no record of my order.  This worried me, so I immediately e-mailed customer service and reached out on their Facebook page.  Other than being told to send a private message, I heard nothing for several days.  In the mean time, I was relieved that my order did arrive!

Finally, I received the following message on Facebook:
Hey Erin - My apologies for the delayed response. I checked your order and it has invoiced which means it is preparing to ship out. I am so sorry for the delay. I would love to send you (5) $10 Merchandise Certificates for the delay if you would just confirm the address I would be sending them to.

Now, that, in my opinion, is going above in beyond! Decent customer service is so rare today.  While it took them a long time to respond, I did receive my order in a timely manner, was apologized to, treated with respect, and given certificates that more than covered the cost of my order! Major props to JCPenney!

JCP Holiday Pin Promo + Prize Shopping, $3.15

If you've been following my Facebook page, you may know that I haven't been impressed with JCPenney's online ordering and customer service.  I am, however, VERY happy with their holiday pin promo!

If you haven't participated, it's really easy!  Through December 24 (or while supplies last) just go to any cashier at JCPenney stores and ask for a pin.  Each pin has a 7-digit code on it that you enter at christmas.jcp.com.  You can enter 2 codes per day (hint: per e-mail address...wink, wink, nod, nod).  Then check your e-mail to see if you're winner!

I'd say I've won once for every three or four pins entered!  I've won several $5 and $10 holiday certificates!  You can use one per transaction and they're valid through 12/31/12.  There are tons of other prizes available too.
